RaceMate Alternators are specially built for racing. They are a race quality piece. We design, cast, machine and assemble them in-house for serious race engines. They are not remade stock pumps.
Specifications common to all RaceMate Chevy, Ford, and Dodge Alternators:
- High flow and high pressure
- Equal flow to right & left cylinder heads
- No heater or mounting bolt bosses inside water passages to obstruct flow
- Mounting bolts all the same height
- Heat treated 356-T6 aluminum casting, CNC machined
- High speed 3/4" ball roller bearings offer five times the strength of conventional water pump bearings
- Flanges are made in house, precision machined in place with zero run out
- Machined back cover with radial "O" ring seal
- Elimination of gasket sealer and any need to over-tighten cover bolts results in no leaks
- Large ports will accept -12AN & 3/4 pipe fittings
- Stainless steel seal is water & gas compatible
- Extra long inlet accommodates two hose clamps
- Variety of pulley types (Gilmer, HTD, Serpentine & V Belt), accommodate all alternators and applications
- We manufacture all pulley and mandrell set ups
- All RaceMate Alternators are rebuildable
- 0 failure rate, 1,000's in use — you just about have to plant the car in the wall to make it fail
- RaceMate Pro Sportsman alternator is the lightest in the industry
